FEACT 2019 Excellence in Government Awards Banquet

Greetings federal government employees serving in Connecticut:

You are cordially invited to the 2019 Federal Executive Association of Connecticut's Excellence in Government Awards Banquet, to be held on Friday, September 6, 2019 at Casa Mia at the Hawthorne,  2421 Berlin Turnpike, Berlin, CT 06037.

This program will honor the best and the brightest in local federal service. Outstanding federal employees will receive awards in 17 distinguished categories. All nominees deserve special recognition and are encouraged to attend the program.

We have notified each finalist, but, like the Academy Awards, no one will know the winners until the day of the awards luncheon.  

Registration is on a first come, first served basis with a deadline of August 27, 2019.  You are encouraged to attend with friends, family members or co-workers.  The cost is $35 per person.  Please coordinate registration with your agency.

Pre-Retirement Seminar - Register Now!

We’ve heard you!  Federal agencies in Connecticut are looking for nationally recognized, high quality training for their employees to be delivered right here in the state. 

The Federal Executive Association of Connecticut is once again holding a Pre-Retirement Seminar on Tuesday, November 12, 2019 from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. at the Metropolitan District Commission (MDC) Training Center, 125 Maxim Road, Hartford, CT 06114. 

The seminar will be led by HR Consultant and Federal Benefits Specialist Deborah L. Hatch, who has performed retirement seminars for federal employees around the nation and has received rave reviews from conference participants.  This is her 3rd appearance in Connecticut, ask your co-workers who may have previously attended for a review!


This is an extremely important and beneficial event for those of you who are looking to retire in the near future, and for those who just want to know more about their retirement rules and options. Come and learn about Federal retirement rules, computation, survivor benefit elections, insurance plans, Social Security and much more!


Registration is open until Friday, October 18, 2019. The cost of this event is $75 per person. You (or your agency) may pay by check or credit card.

Public Service Executive Leadership Collaborative Announces 2019-2020 Workshops

The University of Connecticut Department of Public Policy has announced workshop topics and dates for the 2019-2020 Public Service Executive Leadership Collaborative. FEACT members attend at a discounted rate of $199 per workshop (full price is $299). All workshops are held in Hartford.
